My role : Concept art, Modelisation, UV, Baking, Texturing and UI

Objective project: Create a fake video game in Unreal Engine for a short film. The game had to be scripted and timed to match the screenplay. Additionally, it needed to run on as many machines as possible. Numerous features were added to facilitate filming and make it as easy to handle as possible.

(! The glitch at the end of the video is intentional — it can be triggered with a key in the game for the sake of the storyline!)

Character constraint: The director wanted the character to look fairly well-equipped, without having a full high-level gear set like those typically seen in MMORPGs. Although the player has been playing for a very long time, this helps emphasize the idea that they haven’t progressed in the main quest and are playing aimlessly, highlighting a repetitive and dull daily routine.
